Patient Transportation
Non-Emergency Medical Transportation is now available.
For Our Non-Medi-Cal Patients
Castle Family Health Centers will pay for rides to your medical appointments if services are necessary. You can get help with a ride if you do not have a way to get to and from your doctor's appointment.
Non-Emergency Medical Transportation must be approved before your appointment.
Medical transportation may only be authorized for:
•Medical services at any of CFHC's three locations.
• If you are unable to get your own transportation or receive transportation from a family member, relative or friend.
For Our Patients with Medi-Cal
Non-Medical Transportation (NMT) is provided by the Central California Alliance for Health as a benefit for Medi-Cal members who need help getting to covered services. NMT can be requested for one-time appointments or ongoing visits.
Services must be medically necessary.
Members must:
• Be eligible at the time of service FOR HEALTH
• Have a doctor's appointment or need to pick up medications, equipment or supplies
• Not have a way to get to their appointment or access Alliance-covered services
Prior approval is required.
You will need to call at least 7 business days in advance.
The type of transportation help you get will depend on your need. For more information or to see if you qualify, call an Alliance Transportation Coordinator at 1-800-700-3874, ext. 5577.
We will get you there!
In collaboration with Central California Alliance for Health and The Bus.
